Thanksgiving 2011

Boy do I love these people, pretty Kim with her new fancy Dan camera, brave Jason with the oh so sore back, Nicole with her with her beautiful mom, and the kids!
Thanksgiving was feast because of all of you. Thank you for coming!

We are sharing our blessings and cutting the flour away from the dime. Loved hearing everyone thoughts. We are blessed!

Bret and Nicole would not give up on all the dirty pans and dishes. They worked till everything was spic and span. When everyone left Tom and I put our feet up and watched the Brooks and Dunn's Special. All the tender songs reminded us about how much we love our family. Jamie , thanks for you good morning call on Thanksgiving. You sounded so happy and it just made my day. I missed Matt like crazy. I am trying to get used to that but so far it is not working. I imagined Kelly all day with her family, I think another family celebrated with them. I can't wait to see her blog. So sorry Jason hurt his back. He was in such pain but he came anyway and layed on our hard floor. You are in our prayers Jason.

Bret, thanks for the photo of my butt, couldn't bring myself to post it.

The little girls came up the night before to make pies and rolls. What fun for me! We watched 17 Miracles, boy did that make us thankful for our Thanksgiving.

Something is weird with my computer, or the truth is with me. The pictures and writing just keep bouncing all over and some keep getting erased. I think I am magic and I just haven't been appreciating it. Bret doesn't call me Margie for nothing.

I made this little cottage for the Festival of Trees. On Monday Mom is coming up with me to Salt Lake and I am looking forward to it
.

Emilee and Jen, made my Thanksgiving. They showed up to sleep over night. Here you see Jenny's great big eyes and her cute puckered lips. Emilee is holding a tight smile not to reveal her flashy braces. They made fabulous pumpkin pies! Crust and all. Why didn't I take a picture of them? I loved that they wanted to curl up close together in my big flowered chair. Now if we only would have had Madison and McKinnley squished in there too it would have been absolutely perfect.

Happy Thanksgiving to the family I love, you are all my greatest blessing!

Birthday for Heith and Kade

November is Birthday time for tThompson Men. We want to send you a "Howdy Howdy" Birthday wish! Kade you look so tough in your football uniform. I can attest to your mighty runs, catches, and touchdowns because I saw some of them. You are a great example for your football friends. You can be kind when you are suppose to be and rough when you need to be. The girls in your family will always be protected and taken care of by you and your dad. I am planning on calling you for a one on one birthday talk (you so love to talk on the phone) so get ready. Think of some good stuff to tell me. Happy Birthday Dear Kade Grandpa and I love you and we are always so proud of you!

Happy Birthday Heath. You are the man for all seasons and places. When I saw Kelly's blog this morning with you leading your family on a bike ride in down town Chicago, I was blown away. What a lucky family. How did you ever get all those bikes there? How did you ever get all the tires pumped up at the same time? I was glad that Millie was on your bike, behind you, I am sure she did get real tired. I loved the pictures of the sky line, the water, and the happy kids. Heath thank you for all you do for Kelly and the kids. You bless all of our lives. Wish I was in your Seminary Class. Wish I was on a bike right behind all of you. Thank you for letting me come out and share your lives. I love you! Happy Birthday! Gwen

Shawn

Happy Birthday our sweet SHAWN!!! What bright eyes and a happy grin. You have brought so much joy to our family. I had so much fun watching you trick or treat. You followed Katy around with your little bucket which you returned to dump into your brand new birthday pillow case. "Wait Guys" were your favorite words. Celebrating your Halloween Birthday was the very best part of October. I liked the table, with the spiders, dry ice lemonade and floating heads. Your costume was perfect, especially the black eye mask. Thank you Bret (the sex offender) and Nicole (the flowing gypsy) for sharing your family with us. We love you crazy guys!

Baby Jayne

Is this a cute face or what!! Baby Jayne please don't grow up so fast. I love your tiny pig tails and your mischievious grin. I think you are deciding when to jump on your mom's folded clothes, or how to climb to the top of the pantry shelves to get a treat. I love you!

Happy Birthday Kimberlyn, you are beautiful in this picture. Lucky Jay. You are such a strength in our family. Thank you for looking up on the Internet about Dad's bumps, they are better. Thank you for the fun night during the priesthood meeting. The milk shake was devine and the park amazing, and your happy kids were my favorite part. Lunch with you and Lucy was also my favorite. I love you Kim! I know you had a good birthday with all those little people watching over you. You make all of our lives better. Happy Birthday! Jenny, Happy Big 14. You are a Mia Maid, I can't believe it. I know you are an awesome Dixon Vice President, I would like to hear your announcements. Bet they are funky and fun. Your party sounded so amazing. Your Mom and Dad sure do love you. That will be a Birthday to remember. I am so glad you belong to us Jenny. You are sweet and kind and smart. I love you! Grandma

4th of July

The 4th of July was so comfortable this year, it just felt right. Though we all missed the Thompsons big time, everyone seemed to have such a good time. I loved having the Heaps in our home. There is always so much energy there. I count my many, 27 to be exact, blessings!

Happy Father's Day!

It is Father's Day and oh we have some mighty fine fathers in our family! As I watch little families who are missing a real father, I see the gigantic whole in a family. Something that can never be replaced by anything else. I am so thankful today for my own dear father Archie. I never felt anything but love and acceptance from him. I imagine him so happy today. Tom was pretty much raised without a Dad but he has so many tender father feelings that have blessed our family. Bret, Jason, Heath, Matt H. I am so grateful for your goodness to your families. You all work so hard and then come home to heavy church responsibilities, yards to take care of, children starving for your time, and wives who need you too. You are amazing! Thank you for who you are and how others feel when they are around you. I love you!!! I am so glad you are the fathers of our grandchildren. I always smile when I think of you! Happy Happy Father's Day! I think this year at Lagona it should be "We Love Our Dads Year!" Maybe some extra tender care of the big men on the beach.

Abbie's Race

Abbie's face before the big field day race. So much excitement!

Abbie's relief when it was over. Abbie you were fabulous. You ran like one of Grandpa's new colts. Wind in your hair. Determination on your face. You must have cut minutes off your time this year. You just keep going. I sure do love you!

Grandpa at 6:00 in the morning

This is what we look like at 6:00 in the morning. Grandpa hasn't opened his eyes too many times this early, but today we have a new little baby boy horse. We watched him stand for the first time. Such a miracle. Maizie wants to name him Kade, Lucy thinks Max, and Shawn says Shhna. What do you think? Life is good. The fields are green, the days are warming. I love all the human little fillies and colts in our family. Happy Summer.

Nexr week

Next week I get to tend the Clark Children! Hopefully I will get to see more of the big guy in the middle. Life somehow never erases those tender feelings a mother has for her children, even when they are grown and gone. I so love the little ones too. Shawn I am ready to play. Grady do you think you would come over and play? Grandchildren stir up emotions in a different way, an easy smiling way. There is a full blown blizzard in progress outside my window. I am thinking of the Millers on their Rhinos in Moab, hope they don't have to make a snow cave and sleep in it tonight. But I always have supreme faith in Jason, he can handle anything. Kelly speaks in Young Women on Sunday, she will do great. Wish we could all have a kick ball game in Jamie's park tonight. Let's imagine. Love you all!

Easter

I painted this picture 5 years ago for an assignment while we were working on the Ocher Mt. Temple. I have tender memories of the Garden Tomb, and the blessing of being there with my girls. Someday we are going to return with our husbands. We will have to trick Jamie and tell her we are going to Disneyland. I just bought the new book God So Loved The World by Eric Huntsman. I work with him in the temple and his mother. They are incredible. I can't wait to study. I love my family this almost Easter night. I am remembering all the years, the jelly beans, the colored fingers, the purple grass all over and the note telling the Easter Bunny to please leave Kim's Easter Basket out in the family room and not come into her room. What joy comes from spending time with those you love. All of you cute families love up on each other. XOXO Mom

Chicago

We actually made the treek to Chicago, and what fun we had! I am crazy about my three girls. This is the morning we left down town Chicago. Heath bought us tickets to a play, Kelly guided us through the city, we had yummy fancy food. There was so much to see. How do we say "Thank You" enough to the Thompsons and their generous hearts. We love your home, and your life.
Beauty was just flying everywhere. I think Jamie looks like Aunt Liz. Kelly's bathroom was a gathering place for everyone. Going to church with the Thompsons and hearing Heath give his mighty talk on the Plan Of Salvation was a high light.

I am counting three of my favorite blessings this morning! Apple Pie, Luck-a-Lou, and Cheech! Thank you for the memories I will hold dear every day this year. I love you each head to toe! Thank you for the treasure of exciting Chicago Days with you! P. S. Thompson Children I have some mighty fine pictures of you coming up.

Happy Birthday Flamboyant Maizie!

If this isn't the most FLAMBOYANT BIRTHDAY GIRL!!! Maizie you are the cutest 7 year old in all of Chicago. Oh how I wish I was helping you blow out all those many candles. Next year, no matter where you are living, even Russia, Grandpa and I will be coming out to see you get baptised.

Maizie your eyes are pretty, your hair gorgeous, and your teeth sparkling. We love everything about you. Happy Birthday! We hope you pick out something fun. Maybe a Kit Kat and fancy nails? Thank you for your call we love you head to toe. I am coming out very soon to give you your Birthday Hug. I can hardly wait. We LOVE YOU!

Miller Time is Mighty Fine Time

This picture of Kim and Jason in Cancun was beamed to my computer this morning. Don't they look happy. I love those two! They have the happiest home and kindest kids.

Max is awesome. He hates to miss any BYU or Jazz game. I think he might be better that Jimmer! Thank you, Max for saying thank you to me at least a dozen times. Your basketball practices were my favorite. I don't know if I brought you luck or if you really do make all your shots. You are amazing! There is something about the Miller's eyes. Each morning Emilee would come upstairs with the softest most beautiful eyes. Emilee you probably should close your eyes when boys are within about 3 feet.

Lucy has fire-cracker eyes. They are dancing every minute. I loved walking with your friends Lucy, I can see why you want to run home from school and play, play!

Abbie scored big on her Valentine Box. She got to go over to the Yarrows and create the most amazing Valentine Box. Everything fantastic is glued all over. Abbie just beamed and beamed. Happy Valentines little love, will you be my Valentine?

Happy Birthday Sweet Jayne. You are so loved! The best part of staying with the Millers was listening to Jason sing "Baby Jayne" one trillion miles an hour. Her eyes glowed and she couldn't stop giggling. One thing about the Miller children is that they are each so confident. They know they are loved and that they can do anything. You are doing a good job Kim and Jason! Thank you so letting me share your life. I have to be honest Kim, I don't know how you ever do all you do. Being you is like climbing Mt. Everest. I LOVE THE MILLERS!
