We knew Jace was sick but we had no idea how sick. When Jamie called us over at Bret's house, and told us he was in the hospital we knelt down and prayed. When I walked to Jace's hospital room, he looked so lifeless. He didn't want to look at us or eat. The doctor said that some kids with RSV lay that way for 10 days. We felt heart sick. After everyone left for the night, Jamie took things in her hands. "Jace we are going to give you a shower", she announced. She undressed him and tried to hold him out in the shower while he screamed. Finally in a flash she took off her own clothes, jumped in the shower with him and held him close in her arms. His crying turned to soft giggles, safe in his mother's arms he announced, "I don't want to ever get out." Once dried and dressed in new pajamas, Jace was a different child. Jamie had brought him back to life. He wanted to eat and his eyes once again looked shinny. A mother has inspiration for her child, Jamie sure did. Jamie thank heavens for you!!! Thank you for a night at your house I will never forget. Warm bath, clean sheets, and even a foot rub. . . I think I came back to life too. There are angels among us!
